http://www.ifeel.com.my/vdr17807/web/default/index.aspx
this is their website. Design wise, nothing to comment, because it’s all young and funky. but looking at the content (although it’s all in chinese). they having a website that can interact with teenagers as they know that their target audience is those who will spend of of their time sitting in front of computer. Ifeel web including pol, blog (the editor’s blog about ifeel mag and the events they had, http://ifeelmagazine.blogspot.com/), horoscope, test and etc.
this magazine is quite successful as they understand their target audience well. they are not just a magazine like i said. they have more then what they supposed to do and that eventually make them different from others magazine!!!

i found tis article quite interesting… it is related to asia fashion, few part of the comments are quite sarcastic… and they did mentioned a malaccan-borned designer that refreshingly media-shy, and keeps an unusually low profile.

Feedback of presentation
May 25, 2008
i did ma presentation in class for design analysis final assignment on 14th May 2008..
basically i’m talkin about the structure of ma essay is goin to be in powerpoint form… i did get some feedback on what i need to improve and research on… in short, now, i need to look for more information on the psychology part on ma essay… ms teresa said that would be interesting if i elaborate more on the social issue like the suicide or mental problem that happened because of stress of being a designer..
one of ma classmate commented bout the social issue of my topic as well. she’s asking that if some1 that have passion in their work, they will not be stress and choosing to end up their life or having mental problem at last… that might be a point that i can put into ma essay as well.. :p
here’s the powerpoint of my presentation
Fashion design
May 25, 2008
I like fashion like i mentioned earlier…
since i was young i like to see pretty people with pretty faces… dressing up nicely… n most probably being brought up in an environment v four sisters and parents.. automatically i get more chance to expose more on fashion (knowing girls are the 1 tat like to dress nicely.. like my sisters n mom..lolx) it was then naturally evolved me to someone that have passion in fashion…
since primary to secondary, i watched a lot of fashion related shows or magazines… started to draw/ design sketches on people wearing nicely with accessories, cloths, etc… during form 4, i have a chance to represent ma school to have a public speaking competition… knowing what i’m interesting in, my teacher wrote an essay bout fashion designer as ma ambition for me to present…
i used to think that i’ll get into fashion business when i was young.. but after i think about it.. fashion industry in malaysia is really not a good job to be considered (in ma opinion, no offense).. think about it, how many malaysian designer that can actually make it to the top of the world?? there’ll be zang toi, jimmy choo, bernard chandran that can make their name to overseas… n most of the local designers ll on make their name in their own local country or some tat’s lucky~ ll make their name to SEA o Asia.. n it’s a really really tough and long way to go…
in malaysia~ there are like tans of institutions that offering fashion design course, part time/ full time, those big institutions like MIA, LUCT or other small individual studios, etc… there’s quite a number of people coming out from all these institutions every years… there’s like a big number of graduates student but only limited jobs offered to them… it make the competitions even more tension in market… it’s all my personal opinion~ i feel tat fashion industry in msia is really tough!!! tat’s y i salute those local designers!!! lolz..
knowing the fact that i’m not going to be a fashion designer, i’d still love to do something that relates to fashion, for example, fashion photographer and working in fashion magazine firm… bcz i still have interest in fashion.. :p im a freelance photographer, also doing make up, styling and hair-do for my models in some shooting.. that’s a way i’m keeping myself doing something related to fashion.. lolz
ok, talkin bout career of mine in future, like what i’d mentioned earlier, i really hope tat i can work in a fashion magazine firm, or i even have a chance to do shooting on models :p… it is like having all ma favourite things combined, and that’s working in a fashion magazine firm!!
so for now~!!! i have to work harder on ma layout design… more inspiration on fashion… study more on fashion… flipping tru more magazines ^ ^…. gain more knowledge and experience in tis field….
